Green tea is another popular, refreshing beverage. It is made from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. It originally came from China and is considered to be one of the healthiest drinks in the world, providing a number of benefits. It contains less caffeine than tea and coffee.
Green tea can be purchased bottled and sweetened. It is also available in individual tea bags, as loose leaves and as instant powder.

It contains a large amount of antioxidants.
It has anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Risks of Green Tea.


Although taking green tea supplements can have risks, green tea as a drink is very safe with few side effects.The amount of caffeine in green tea is small and would only affect those who are very sensitive to it by aggravating conditions such as anxiety and stomach disorders. Green tea supplements should be avoided by pregnant women, people with high blood pressure, stomach ulcers or anxiety disorders.
